Mayfair Park Residences, London, UK

Situated just a few steps from Hyde Park, the scheme provided us with opportunity to design an exciting contemporary addition to Mayfair’s unique architectural character. Located along a prominent route leading from the heart of Mayfair Conservation Area towards the Royal Parks, the existing buildings form part of an urban block with a dual aspect to both Curzon Street to the south and Stanhope Gate to the north.

425 Oxford Street, London, UK

This project includes the high-profile renovation and adaptation of a key historic building along Oxford Street in Central London. The design completely rethinks the 1930s building’s presence within Europe’s busiest shopping district, greatly expanding its retail space to make it more economically viable and ensuring consistency within its commercially-orientated setting. The T-shaped building sits confidently across from the iconic Selfridges & Co department store, providing an unparalleled visual retail presence that an international brand has capitalised on for their new global flagship store.

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Al Maryah Island, is a man-made enclave between Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi Island and Mina Zayed. Its central position enables the island to become a link between the city and the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island. Central to this urban ligament stands the Four Seasons which, together with the adjacent Abu Dhabi stock exchange, establishes a pedestrian epicenter of metropolitan energy along the waterfront.

Chiltern Place, London, UK

PLP Architecture recently completed a new 15-storey residential building that includes 55 luxury apartments, retail facilities and a new townhouse along Chiltern Street in the heart of Marylebone Village in London. It replaces an outdated 1960s tower and offers significant visual and operational improvements for the sensitive site, which is located next to the intimate green spaces of Paddington Street Gardens.

Corso Como Place, Porta Nuova, Milan, Italy

PLP Architecture was commissioned to refurbish the former Unilever Tower in Milan as a contemporary office space. The tower, built in 1962, had been a modernist landmark in the international style, although a recent misplaced attempt at recladding the facade had completely changed its character, rendering it unremarkable and undervalued. The existing block and surrounding buildings had become run-down, in stark contrast to the surrounding buildings of Corso Como.  When complete, the building will serve as Accenture’s national headquarters. A new all-timber pavilion adjacent to the tower will house the headquarters for the technology company Bending Spoon.

Yandex Headquarters, Moscow, Russia

PLP Architecture is designing an innovative new smart headquarters for Yandex, the global technology leader, in the Gagarinsky District of Moscow. The project sits on a prominent site near the Moskva River, a short distance from the some of the city’s leading research institutions and the company’s first office. When complete, the 170,000m2 campus will enable staff to have a healthy and sustainable place for seamless work and recreation, a space for inspiration and fun that will integrate technology with materiality to inspire new ideas and ways of working.

65 Davies Street, London, UK

Our office building, 65 Davies Street, sits in a prime location a moment’s walk from London’s Oxford Street within Mayfair’s rich cultural heritage and directly above the new Elizabeth Line Bond Street Station. When complete in 2023, the building will be one of London’s most technically advanced and best-connected workplaces.

Assima, Kuwait City, Kuwait

At the end of 2013, PLP Architecture was awarded Municipal Permission for a new mixed-use complex situated in the Central Business District of Kuwait City. Having developed the detail and technical design, construction is now underway.

The site borders the rigid urban grid of the modern city on two sides and fronts a meandering route that leads to the sea. Indicative of an earlier river course and thoroughfare that twisted northward to the coast, this route inspires our design for the retail complex and the creation of a grand-scale and welcoming destination that will converge and integrate with the city.

One Embassy Gardens, London, UK
