Karin Hildingsson Jones, RIBA

Senior Associate Partner

Karin is an architect and urban designer and has completed master planning and regeneration projects, urban design strategies and planning research in a variety of locations across Europe. She has worked for architectural practices, town planning consultancies and planning authorities in UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

She is currently leading our work for the Old Oak Park master plan in west London, which completely rethinks a disused site at a key new transportation hub. The project crafts a dynamic and highly-desirable new neighbourhood that will include over 6,000 homes along with shops and community facilities, providing much-needed housing and jobs for the local area.

Karin has worked on several projects in the Netherlands, including the Riverpark Noord in Amsterdam, where she helped drive the vision for converting an industrial site into a residential-led waterfront quarter of over 2,500 homes. The project is a catalyst for regeneration of a whole area and builds on the docklands’ extensive heritage.

Her other work with the practice includes a key role in the creation Nova Victoria, our project next to one of London’s key transportation hubs that regenerated a forgotten site into a popular mixed-use and pedestrian-focussed quarter. It includes office, retail and residential components and effectively reintegrates the district into the wider neighbourhood, creating new paths to and through the site that dramatically improve the area’s connectivity and public realm.

Karin received her Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London and her MSc and BSc Architecture from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm, during which time she studied at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), ETH Zürich in Switzerland.
