Founding Partner and President of PLP Architecture

Lee Polisano is the co-founder of PLP Architecture and the company’s president. He is internationally-recognised for his architectural and urban design work, which emphasises an underlying concern for the environment and his passion for innovation. Lee has been responsible for creating numerous award-winning commercial and corporate office buildings and he is widely regarded for pushing boundaries and bringing innovation to the sector. Many of these projects have received prestigious awards for institutions as varied as the Urban Land Institute and the British Council for Offices.

Lee’s work has a focus on designing locally, advocating civic responsibility and environmental responsiveness to create contextually-sensitive and accessible projects that are comfortable to inhabit and a joy to use.

He has been responsible for such notable projects as Nova Victoria, a landmark development that completely rethinks the urban setting around Victoria Station, Sky Central, a collaborative new award-winning headquarters for one of the world’s most dynamic media companies and Heron Tower, the City’s first sustainable high-rise building that remains an icon to this day. He has recently completed the design for Corso Como Place in Milan, a landmark redevelopment integrating an unloved derelict tower into a contemporary urban setting that will become the focus of the Corso Como district in the city.

Lee is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Architektenkammer Berlin, and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), where he was elected to its College of Fellows in recognition of his notable contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture. He is a frequent lecturer, advisor to both public and private institutions. Lee is passionately involved with several charitable organisations in London.
