We are seeking a professional and motivated Management Accountant that has proven industry specific experience. They will have responsibilities commensurate with a role within a company with a very healthy pipeline of upcoming projects across the world.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant working closely with the Financial Controller and Head of Finance.

Role:

  • Preparation of month-end and year-end up to trial balance stage and management accounts
  • Preparation of balance sheet and P&L reconciliations as required, journals and ledger maintenance.
  • Managing the Outsourced Payroll and Remuneration Process, both UK and abroad
  • Assisting with budgeting & forecasting, and production of 3 Year Plans
  • Assist with Cash reporting, revenue, job profitability and expenditure.
  • Assist with the preparation of all tax compliance, including VAT, Corp Tax, and overseas tax compliance.
  • Assisting with audit and liaising with external auditors
  • Assisting in the preparation of and presentation of Management Information for the Commercial/Non-Financial Teams and Business Support
  • Managing/mentoring junior accounts staff
  • Liaising with external contacts

Skills:

  • Qualified accountant or those close to completion (preferably ACA or ACCA)
  • Strong IT skills including knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft suite, specially advanced Excel skills. A keen interest and skills in data management, particularly Power Query/Power BI/PowerPivot would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience of the preparation of consolidated financial information would be an advantage.
  • A desire to improve and seek promotion within the firm, using initiative to improve the business and the role.
  • Proactive approach and an ability to make continuous improvements to what they do,
    particularly with regards to emerging technology and software solutions
  • Demonstration of strong and clear thought process and communication skills are
    essential.
  • Proactive, team player and willing to work autonomously.
  • A natural at prioritizing your workload conscientiously and working to strict reporting
    deadlines,
  • Able to take responsibility for own work.
