Mark Kelly, RIBA

Partner and Chief Operating Officer

Mark has extensive experience providing management for projects in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. He worked with our senior leadership for many years prior to our practice’s founding and has worked with the rest of our proposed team on some of the practice’s most high-profile projects.

He is currently leading the team on the design for ONE Bishopsgate Plaza in the City of London. This mixed-use development includes much-needed residential and retail together with a Pan Pacific hotel, housed in a blend of new and refurbished buildings. A 43-storey tower together with a new public square along busy Bishopsgate will lead to a sequence of new public spaces and routes to and through the site to greatly enhance its urban setting. He is also leading the design for 33 Grosvenor Place for the Cleveland Clinic, which is located on a sensitive site facing Buckingham Palace Gardens in Westminster. The project will see the existing outdated office building completely rethought into an outstanding private medical clinic. The building’s internal areas will be entirely reconstructed, while its façade will be clarified and restored.

He recently completed Chiltern Place, a residential building in the heart of Marylebone Village. The project reinvigorates the site and adapts its use from an office building to luxury apartments, retail facilities and a new townhouse. The sensitive design reflects the rich palate of the surrounding area. The building faces the leafy Paddington Street Gardens, one of the key green spaces in the district.

Mark helped lead the design for Nova Victoria, which has regenerated the crucial island site to the north of Victoria Station. This project is already contributing to the transformation of one of the capital’s most important gateways and encouraging 115 million people who use the station each year to more actively engage with this part of the city.

Mark also led the team on design for 73 Brook Street, a new headquarters for Clivedale Ventures that replaced a 1970s property with a new office building that relates in a more effective to its setting within a Georgian terrace in the Mayfair Conservation Area.

Mark received his Architecture Diploma (with distinction) from University College of London’s Bartlett School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science degree from the North London Polytechnic School of Architecture.
