Bankside Yards is a hyper-mixed-use development, designed by PLP Architecture, on the south bank of the River Thames that connects and ignites two miles of London’s cultural quarter after 150 years of disconnect.

The master plan unlocks a key site along the Queen’s Walk, creating a permeable public realm with new connections through the neighbourhood. 14 historic railway arches are opened up for cultural use, retail and wellness. At the same time, eight public spaces with different characters and eight tall buildings create a vibrant and active new neighbourhood. Bankside Yards will also be the first major mixed-use development in the UK to achieve net-zero carbon operation.
