65 Davies Street shortlisted for 2025 Structural Steel Design Awards
August 19, 2025
We are pleased to announce that 65 Davies Street has been shortlisted for the 2025 Structural Steel Design Awards. Organised by the British Constructional Steelwork Association and Steel for Life, the awards celebrate outstanding use of steel in architecture and construction across the UK.
Located in the heart of Mayfair and directly above Bond Street’s Elizabeth Line station, 65 Davies Street is a six-storey office building that combines refined materiality with robust structural performance. Designed by PLP Architecture for Grosvenor, with engineering by Arup, construction by Multiplex, and steelwork by BHC, the building provides 65,000 square feet of Grade A workspace tailored for future flexibility.
The design responds to the rich architectural and natural heritage of its surroundings with a palette of terracotta, bronze and stone, while a green wall and openable windows support sustainability and well-being. Its location above a major transport hub required significant technical coordination and structural innovation, a challenge met with ingenuity and precision by the team.
Winners of the Structural Steel Design Awards will be announced in October 2025.
