PLP Architecture Marks 16 Years of Design Innovation

September 18, 2025

PLP Architecture celebrated its sixteenth anniversary this week with an event at its London studio, bringing the team together to reflect on the practice’s evolution and the projects that have shaped its identity over the past decade and a half.

Marking the occasion with prosecco, pizza and a curated journey through time, each Partner presented a completed project from one of PLP’s sixteen years in practice. From early landmark buildings to more recent work in adaptive reuse, urban placemaking and net-zero innovation, the presentation offered a snapshot of the studio’s broad expertise and international reach.

Since its founding in 2009, PLP has grown into a practice with studios in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Amsterdam. It has delivered over 650 projects across 37 countries, including the world’s most sustainable office building, the world’s first purpose-built AI lab, and the UK’s first major mixed-use fossil fuel free masterplan.

The event was both retrospective and forward-looking, a moment to celebrate the people and partnerships that have shaped PLP so far, and to look ahead to the next phase of city-making, research and design.
