Alex Davidson is an Associate Partner at PLP Architecture and runs the studio’s in-house research and innovation group, PLP Labs. Alongside his role in the Labs, he also works in PLP’s Marketing and New Business team.

Within PLP Labs Alex is responsible for building and managing research teams that explore critical issues within our built environment. The thinktank is currently exploring a wide range of research themes, including how to healthier cities for people, new sustainable construction materials, and the opportunities that new technologies bring to design.

Previously, Alex has worked for architectural practices in Rotterdam and Helsinki, where he specialised in architectural communications and public relations. He has independently written and edited pieces for major industry publications and events around the world.

Alex received his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University.
