Eleftheria Varda

Senior Associate Partner

Eleftheria Varda has worked for the practice for seven years and brings experience designing buildings across a number of typologies including offices, residential, retail and hotel projects in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and India.

She was most recently a key member of the team designing the Holborn Viaduct project, which includes a new Category A office development that revitalises a tight urban site and reuses historic facades in central London. Before this, Eleftheria worked on the Alderley Park Master Plan, which is now being constructed and which carefully reinvigorates an outdated suburban office park into a world-class centre for research and innovation organised along an intimate lake and surrounded by nature.

She also has worked on numerous mixed-use developments across London, including the Whitechapel Estate Master Plan, a residential-led mixed-use project in historic East London, where she delivered planning whilst also working on multiple building types. Eleftheria also developed the interior design packages for other office projects including 90 Long Acre in Covent Garden and 90 Baker Street in Westminster, London.

Internationally, Eleftheria has worked on Minet El Hosn, a residential project in Beirut. She has also worked the design for a Government Ministry building in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, helping to craft its design from its concept and brief definition through to schematic design and façade design. She has also completed in numerous high-profile international design competitions.

Prior to joining PLP, Eleftheria worked for architectural practices in Greece, where she was involved in the design of high-end residential and hotel proposals. Eleftheria graduated from De Montfort University and completed a Master of Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), specialising in the latest technological advances in architecture and design. She received her Part 3 from the University of Westminster and is also a member of TEE (Technical Chamber of Greece) and a registered architect in Greece.
