PLP Win Competition for Korea’s Net Zero National Meteorological Center
May 14, 2024
PLP Architecture have won the design competition for Korea’s Net Zero National Meteorological Center.
The project, which will be PLP’s first to be built in Korea, looks to be a beacon for sustainable design. Drawing inspiration from fundamental meteorological principles, our proposal reflects the Center’s ambitions to be a positive influence against climate change and sets a new benchmark for carbon-neutral policies, through both passive and renewable design strategies.
On top of this, the project will create a new workplace that promotes innovation and collaboration, with the objective of establishing a world-class, carbon-neutral national weather center.
More details will follow about the winning project, including about its CLT modular construction, Four Seasons Garden, biophilic design and more.
